MR Zs FUNDRAISING !

Mr. Z's Fundraiser has completed, and the students and parents did very well in helping to raise funds for Highlandville Elementary ! Although it was not as successful in past years (we figure do to the economy), the students still were successful in having this fund raiser, and we have 36 kids qualified for the PIZZA LUNCH AND LIMO RIDE today !

They'll all be eating a great pizza buffet lunch and parents are encouraged to go, and get special pricing for their lunch! Information is on the permission slip sent home as to where and what time!

This is always a fun trip for the kids, and they LOVE the limo ride... in past year's it's been a stretch Hummer ...

THANK YOU to all the parents, grandparents, friends and neighbors who helped to raise these funds for our students!!! Without your continued support, some of the fun programs at school might not be possible! For that we say THANK YOU !

WHAT HAPPENED TO SEPTEMBER ???

Can't believe September is already gone, and WAY too fast!  We had a GREAT meeting in September, with a good turn out.  there were new folks interested in helping the school, new volunteers, new board members, and YUMMY PIE! We appreciate their generous donations, and when you frequent their businesses, please tell them A SPECIAL THANK YOU for the delicious desserts to ~

THANK YOU to all who helped with open house, serving food and helping with the book fair. For all who came and had dinner, we asked you to put in for the drawing that was held at the end of the night.

Congratulations Joseph !!! You can pick up your gift at the elementary office anytime beginning Thursday, October 8th.

We have also decided to reward our Volunteers each month by doing a drawing at the end of each month for those who have helped us in various activities and events. The more you volunteer, the more times you are entered.

Our September winner was Christine Czachowski!

Congratulations and thanks for your hard work! You have won two tickets to one of the eight productions at Springfield Little Theatre! You can pick them up from the elementary office beginning Thursday, October 8th.

We will be holding another drawing at the end of October so help support your student and their school, and you have the chance to win some great prizes !

WELCOME to the new PIE year ... 2009

We are Highlandville PIE ... Partners In Education. PIE is a parent teacher organization that is run by volunteers who together are focused on ONE goal ... to make Highlandville Elementary School the BEST place for OUR child's education, and help them to have fun while doing it !

We have no dues, all are welcome, and EVERYONE is a member. It's a great way to be involved in our children's education and help with classroom and school needs not covered in current school budget.

So come on and join us for a big ole slice of PIE ... you and your kids will be glad you did!
